German themed Christmas party helps Toys for Tots

Kent and Heidi Lagro held their 6^th annual Christmas Party at Arbomar on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 PM. The Lagro’s party is not just about being with friends and celebrating the holidays but the Lagro’s ask their guests to bring toys that can be donated for Toys for Tots.

Heidi Lagro invited approximately 75 guests to the party that included friends from all over Longboat Key as well as from all over the world. Many of Lagro’s friends are from Germany, like her, and some of her closest “German friends” had relatives in town all the way from the Canary Islands.

The evening included lots of food, wine and beer as well as a two-man band, twin brothers Heinz and Sepp Dieplder who played Christmas songs on the accordion and the zither.
