German consul general attends talk at Temple Beth Israel

On Feb. 23, Sonia Pressman Fuentes spoke to Temple Beth Israel about a trip she took last fall to Germany, and Belgium, and the truth she uncovered there. She discussed how on the trip, she learned information that exposed Robert de Foy for arresting, deporting and blocking the immigration of hundreds of Jews — including an attempt to block Fuentes’ family from immigrating. De Foy had been recognized by Yad Vashem in 1975 as a “righteous Gentile,” and Fuentes asked for him to be stripped of his designation. German consul general in Miami, Eva Alexandra Countess Kendeffy, was present to hear Fuentes’ talk.
