Sarasota at Palmetto: The Sailors and Tigers both won their season openers last week. Sarasota put up 51 points last week against Booker and quarterback Hunter DeWitt and wide receiver Shawn Bane Jr. will try to lead the Sailors past a Tigers team which advanced to the state semifinals last season, but has been plagued with injuries early on.

Riverview vs. Manatee: The Rams host the top-ranked Hurricanes in a non-district matchup. Riverview is going for its first win of the season after a disappointing 24-13 loss to Palmetto last week while Manatee is hoping to build off its impressive 41-6 victory over nationally ranked Miramar last Sunday. Riverview upset Manatee 11 years ago — the last time Manatee was ranked No. 1.

Lakewood Ranch at Southeast: The Mustangs hope to build off of last week's 21-7 victory over rival Braden River while the host Seminoles are hoping to overcome last week's disappointing 15-14 loss at Largo. The two teams met last season with Southeast walking away with a 33-13 victory.

Braden River vs. North Port:  Both teams are playing for their first win of the season. The Pirates, who have already lost several key players to injury, will need a solid performance from senior quarterback Eric Schappacher.
