As Freedom Elementary celebrated Veterans Day with its annual “Let Freedom Ring” courtyard ceremony Nov. 12, there was a special treat in the crowd: original Parent-Teacher Organization member Sharri Cagle and two of her three children, Lindsey and Logan.

Cagle led efforts to create the Let Freedom Ring Courtyard and start the annual ceremony at it.

Cagle and her family returned from a roughly six-year hiatus in Arizona last year and now live in the Tampa area. Her children asked to attend Freedom’s ceremony.
