Former commission candidate launches radio career

After narrowly missing out on a runoff election for the City Commission District 1 seat, former candidate Richard Dorfman has changed careers.

Dorfman is now hosting his own local radio show.

“The Richard Dorfman Show” aired for the first time this week on AM1490, which broadcasts directly from Main Street.

The one-hour program, which airs weekdays at 3 p.m., focuses on local and national politics, entertainment and other topics.

“The chance to have a pertinent and entertaining talk-radio show that serves our community and provides a forum to discuss the many issues we face was an opportunity I could not let pass by,” Dorfman said.
