Florida Power and Light gives 50 families 'home energy makeovers'

In a combined effort, the city of Sarasota and the Florida Power and Light are giving 50 Sarasota families a “home energy makeover” at no cost Friday, Nov. 18.

The makeovers are anticipated to save residents up to 25% on their monthly bills. The families have already been selected and the “home energy makeover” event begins at 8:15 a.m. with a kick-off ceremony at the Robert L Taylor Community Complex and at 9 a.m. the first Home Energy Makeover begins.

The complex is located at 1845 34th Street. The event is closed to the public and volunteers have already been selected as well*.
