Florida Department of Education rates East County schools as above average

Most East County schools finished the 2013-2014 school year with high marks.

Elementary and middle school grades released from the Florida Department of Education July 11, showed a 20% increase in school grades the Florida Department of Education released July 11.

All schools in East County received A's, with the exception of Imagine Charter at Lakewood Ranch, which received a B, and Bashaw Elementary, which received a C.

Highlights include Tara Elementary's boost from a C in the 2012-2013 school year, to an A in the recent report.
