Fitlife Foods coming to University Parkway area

The prepared food company will make its debut in the Sarasota region with a new location in Manatee County.

A Tampa-based prepared foods company, Fitlife Foods, will open its newest location in the University Town Center shopping district April 27.

The new store will be located at 5275 University Parkway, in The Market at UTC plaza at the northwest corner of Honore Avenue and University Parkway. The shopping center is home to Kohl’s, The Fresh Market and Square 1 Burgers, among other businesses.

Fitlife specializes in healthy pre-made meals with more than 65 menu items. Menu prices range from $3 to $13 and include gluten-free, vegetarian, paleo and other options.

The grand opening event slated for April 27 will start with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. There will be complimentary food, wellness sessions and giveaways. Fitlife will have samples available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 6 to 9 p.m.

The store will be Fitlife’s first in the Sarasota area but its 14th overall.
