The Florida Highway Patrol this month will be conducting driver license and vehicle inspection checkpoints throughout Manatee County.
Troopers will be concentrating their efforts on vehicles being operated with defects such as bad breaks, worn tires and defective lighting equipment, an FHP report states.
An East County checkpoint location will be at Lena Road south of State Road 64.
