Motorists can expect to see lane and shoulder closures and other roadwork as the Florida Dept. of Transportation works on various projects in East County.

The week of June 8 the following roadways will be under construction and may cause delays in drivers' commute:

North and southbound I-75 from University Parkway to I-275 Interchange (between mile markers 213 and 228) — Testing will continue on fiber optic cables, electrical wires and other equipment. Motorists should anticipate shoulder closures for this work and should use caution while traveling through the construction zones.

State Road 70 from County Road 675 East to 245th Street — Crews are cleaning ditches along the roadway, which will cause daytime lane closures eastbound and westbound. Drivers should expect delays.

State Road 64 (west of Carlton Arms Boulevard) to west of I-75 — Maintenance work continues on adding paved bicycle lanes, sidewalk construction and other additions to the State Road 64 expansion. Motorists may experience temporary lane closures in these areas and should use caution in construction zones.
