The Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA) has offered its assistance to the town in its search for an interim town manager.

According to a letter from FCCMA President Jonathan Lewis to Mayor Jim Brown, the group could assist the town through its Range Rider program, which provides professional guidance through former managers, or through its list of managers who are currently looking for employment.

Longboat Key Police Chief Al Hogle was appointed acting town manager Monday, following the resignation of Town Manager Bruce St. Denis. The commission will appoint an interim manager to serve for six to eight months as it searches for a permanent town manager.
