The five winners from The East County Observer’s Lakewood Ranch anniversary essay contest each received $100 savings accounts from Synovus Bank for their winning entries.

Winners included Alaina Megill (third grade, Imagine School of Lakewood Ranch), Naomi Burg (fourth grade, McNeal Elementary), Anthony Pistella (fifth-grade, Willis Elementary), Sarah Cox (Nolan Middle School) and Theresa Novak (Lakewood Ranch High School).
