Encore Motorcars offers big prize for lucky stroke

If you need an extra reason to step up your swing at this year’s Longboat Key Invitational golf tournament, here’s one: A hole-in-one on hole No. 3 will win you a pre-owned 2008 E350 Mercedes-Benz courtesy of Encore Motorcars of Sarasota.

The tournament is the Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce’s largest fundraiser.
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, at the Longboat Key Club and Resort’s Islandside golf course. The tournament is open to the public. Cost is $125 per golfer or $400 for a foursome. An awards luncheon will follow the tournament at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $35.
