Emeril Lagasse gets a taste of Longboat Key

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse stopped by Maison Blanche Monday, Sept. 9, to film for his television show, "Emeril’s Florida." Chef Jose Martinez prepared a variety of dishes for Lagasse to try for the show.

“If I lived nearby, I’d eat here every night,” says the celebrity chef after trying Martinez’s dishes.

Also traveling with Lagasse is his daughter and makeup artist, Jillian Lagasse, who is also a cookbook author.

The show will also be traveling to film today at Beach Bistro, on Anna Maria Island.

On "Emeril’s Florida," Lagasse travels throughout the state, visiting a wide range of restaurants to showcase some of the state’s greatest chefs. Tune in to watch "Emeril’s Florida" at 8:30 a.m. Thursdays, on the Cooking Channel.
