Pineapple Square already offers a variety of upscale art galleries, shopping, dining and cultural events, but its latest attraction is Eileen Fisher, a brand known for beautiful, simple clothing.

The location in downtown Sarasota is the company’s 54th store, adding to the brand’s growing presence on the west coast of Florida.

The 1,900-square-foot store was designed by the company’s in-house architecture team, which renovated the building’s façade but left the original roof and trusses intact. It will carry Eileen Fisher’s signature collection, in addition to shoes and accessories such as leather handbags and belts.

Eileen Fisher Director of Stores Karen Gray said Pineapple Square was a natural choice for the brand’s newest shop.

“When we visited Sarasota, we were excited to locate our store in an area that offers wonderful attractions in addition to shopping,” Gray said. “We know our customers have many interests and will enjoy incorporating their visits to our store with all that downtown Sarasota has to offer.”

Store Manager Sheila Rigoni just moved to Sarasota from Sanibel Island and joined Eileen Fisher more than five years ago. She said she is looking forward to connecting the store to the greater Sarasota community, specifically organizations committed to supporting women’s well-being, environmental organizations and local community organizations.
