Baseball

Braden River beat Riverview 3-0 in eight innings. Miclayne Powell had two hits and two RBI for the Pirates, and Andre Fonseca threw seven innings of shutout ball. 

The Out-of-Door Academy lost 8-5 to Northside Christian. 

Softball

Braden River beat Manatee 5-0. Sarah Crawford had two home runs in the victory, and Maddie Lindsley threw a complete-game shutout. 

Golf

At Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club's Women's Golf Association President's Cup, Ann Brownfield had the low gross, shooting 75, and Lauren Hirsch had the low net of 63. 

Maggie McCrystal, Renee Garr, Marilyn Helm and Nancie Shellenbaum (97) won Palm Aire Country Club's Women's Golf Association best ball event. 

At University Park Country Club's Ladies' Golf Association "Hate 'em" event (individual low net), Betty Muessle (64) won the 1+10 division, and Judy Kalkwarf and Libby Edwards (68) tied for first in the 10+19 division.
