East County jewelry store burglarized

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Bartlett Jewelers that occurred Sunday.

At about 4:40 p.m., March 21, unknown person(s) broke the lock and smashed out the front window of the jewelry store, 7317 52nd Place E., and stole an undetermined amount of items, a sheriff’s office report states. Several display cases were smashed, and items were taken from each display.

Deputies canvassed the area, and several people were interviewed; however, there were no witnesses. The store's security camera was not working at the time of the burglarly, the report states.
