East County High 5 Moments: 12.24.15

1 — Hunter Reed and Tim Dwyer each earned individual titles to help lead the Lakewood Ranch High wrestling team to a first-place finish at the 21st Annual Cougar Invitational Dec. 11 and Dec. 12, at Durant High. 

2 — Braden River alum Stephen Fischer was named a captain for the Cumberland University baseball team for the 2016 season. 

3 — The Lakewood Ranch High girls basketball team is ranked No. 3 in Class 7A in the most recent Florida Association of Basketball Coaches/Source Hoops state rankings, which were released Dec. 14. 

4— Pablo Vargas tallied a hat trick to lead the Lakewood Ranch High boys soccer team to a 6-0 victory against Manatee in Class 5A-District 8 action Dec. 14. 

5 — Braden River junior Chance Sharbono placed fourth in the 132-pound weight class at the Jim Graves Invitational Dec. 11 and Dec. 12, at Brandon High.
