1 — On July 7, former Braden River High outfielder Myles Straw was named the Quad Cities River Bandits’ Player of the Month for June after batting .326 with six stolen bases. 

2 — Braden River quarterback Louis Colosimo received an offer from Bryant University, in Smithfield, R.I., July 1. 

3 — Cardinal Mooney catcher Parker Shanahan hit a RBI single to propel the Florida Burn 17U team to a 10-8 victory against California Baseball Academy, at the WWBA National Championships July 2, in Georgia. 

4 — Cheryl Atkinson recorded a hole-in-one July 3 on the 112-yard No. 8 hole of the Lakes Course, at Palm Aire Country Club. 

5 — John Rothenberg used his 8-iron to record a hole-in-one July 3 on the 157-yard No. 14 hole of the Lakes Course, at Palm Aire Country Club.
