East County High 5 Moments: 06.09.16

1 — Lakewood Ranch quarterback Justin Curtis rushed for nearly 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Mustangs' 27-24 spring game victory against Booker May 27. 

2 — Lakewood Ranch junior Kristine Akervold finished third in the 110-meter hurdles, in 14.63 seconds, at the Flo Golden South Track and Field Meet May 28, in Clermont. She also was a part of the winning 4x100 relay and fourth-place 4x400 relay. 

3 — Lakewood Ranch senior Kailyn Scully was awarded a Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship from the Positive Coaching Alliance-Tampa Bay. 

4 — Jean Troxell shot 26 to win the nine-hole individual low net event June 2, at Rosedale Golf & Country Club.

5 — Barb Harrison, Betsy Ratterman and Carolyn Dole shot 131 to win the Backwards Waltz Women’s Golf Association event June 2, on the Champions Course, at Palm Aire Country Club.
