East County High 5 Moments: 05.12.16

1 — Florida Atlantic safety Sharrod Neasman, a 2010 graduate of Braden River High, was signed by the Atlanta Falcons April 30, as a college free agent. 

2 — Lakewood Ranch junior Sophia Falco won four medals, including a gold medal in the long jump, at the Class 4A state meet May 6 and May 7, at IMG Academy. 

3 — Lakewood Ranch senior Reide Ryans cleared 5 feet, 6 inches to win the high jump at the Class 4A state meet May 6, at IMG Academy. 

4 — Lakewood Ranch resident Drew Bavaro, was selected by Sioux City with the first pick in the 10th round of the United States Hockey League Draft May 2. 

5 — The Out-of-Door Academy seventh-grader Saraiah Walkes finished second in the 100-meter dash at the Class 1A state meet May 7, at IMG Academy.
