ODA scored 25 unanswered points to post its second win of the season.

GAME CHANGER 

Kendall Johnson,  Wide receiver, The Out-of-Door Academy 

Johnson caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in overtime to lead the host Thunder to a come-from-behind victory. Johnson finished with three catches for 26 yards. 

 

TOP PERFORMERS 

ODA quarterback Ahony Squitieri completed 14 of 21 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. 

Cardinal Mooney quarterback Tristan Hillerich completed 15 of 24 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

Cardinal Mooney running back Jaz Mongeon rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. 

ODA running back Dakota Dickerson carried the ball seven times for 18 yards and two touchdowns. 

ODA wide receiver Trenton Radigan caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. 

 

GAME OF THE WEEK 

Oct. 16: Braden River versus Venice (7:30 p.m.) 

A pair of undefeated teams highlight this week’s Observer Game of the Week as Braden River hosts Venice in a key Class 7A-District 11 contest. 

Both teams were off last week and enter Friday night’s contest tied for first place in the district standings along with Palmetto. 

Braden River is averaging nearly 42 points per game and only has allowed 38 points through the first six games of the season. Meanwhile, Venice, which moved up to Class 7A this season, is averaging 40 points per game and has three shutouts this season. 

Venice is ranked No. 3 in Class 7A while the defending district champion Pirates are ranked No. 4.
