An East County CVS pharmacy was robbed of prescription drugs during an incident Tuesday.

A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report states that a white male entered the CVS at 3724 84th Ave. Circle East and walked into the pharmacy, where he demanded OxyContin. The suspect had his hand inside his pocket, and the employee believed the suspect was armed.

The suspect took an undetermined amount of pills and fled from the store. The incident was captured on video, the report states.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, light build and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark shorts, dark blue baseball cap with a Nike symbol on the front and dark-colored gloves.

Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s office at 747-3011, Ext. 2555 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
