Early voting for Manatee special election begins June 8

The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections office announced this morning that early voting for the June 18 special election will begin June 8 and end June 15.

The ballot features two items: A vote on a half-percent sales tax increase, from 6.5% to 7%; And a vote that would allow the Manatee Board of County Commissioners to give new or expanding businesses ad valorem tax exemptions.

Early voting takes place at the Supervisor of Elections office, 600 301 Boulevard West, Suite 118, Bradenton from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Absentee ballots can be requested prior to 5 p.m. June 12. Requests can be made through email by providing your name, date of birth and address to [email protected] or by calling the Supervisor of Elections office at 941-741-3823.
