DSA expands First Friday to every Friday

The Downtown Sarasota Alliance (DSA) has expanded its popular First Friday series to 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday. The event will now feature a different downtown Sarasota neighborhood each week.

Every month, a new theme to showcase and celebrate Sarasota’s unique seasons and holidays will now occur. The changes begin in February, which is labeled as Strawberry Month.

Attendees can visit live performances, dining at over 60 downtown restaurants and shopping at a mix of boutiques, art galleries and salons.

The new schedule is as follows each month for DSA Friday events:
1st Friday (of every month) Palm Avenue, Main Street & Lemon Avenue
2nd Friday Burns Square (south Pineapple Avenue)
3rd Friday Towles Court (Adams & Washington)
4th Friday Rosemary District (Fruitville & Central)

Log on to www.DSAsarasota.com for more information and monthly updates on everything happening in downtown. The DSA encourages downtown businesses to stay open late on Fridays to take advantage of the crowds from the Friday events.
