Dry Dock owners file site plan application

Dry Dock Waterfront Grill owners Eric and Cynthia Hammersand filed an application for site-plan review last week with the Longboat Key Planning Zoning & Building Department.

The application states that the Hammersands hope to enclose the area directly above the restaurant’s existing roof, which is used to cover a portion of its outdoor dining area, and construct and enclose a walkway that will lead from a new elevator.

The plan would add 1,107 square feet to the restaurant, allowing the Hammersands to reconfigure the existing first and second floor dining areas to allow for more tables to overlook the water and allow for more space between tables. The request would not change Dry Dock’s seating capacity or parking requirements.
