Donald Trump to speak in Sarasota

A little more than a month after Donald Trump picked Sarasota as his Florida headquarters, the leading Republican presidential candidate will hold a rally at Robarts Arena.

The rally is slated to begin at noon Saturday, Nov. 28, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m., according to event information available on Eventbrite.com.

The Trump event comes three weeks after fellow candidate Ben Carson drew more than 1,000 attendees to a book singing at BookStore1Sarasota downtown, although that was not technically a campaign event.
