Doctors Hospital announces Physician of the Year

Every year the employees of Doctors Hospital of Sarasota nominate a Physician of the Year. The honor for 2015 was given to Dr. Michael Schandorf-Lartey.

Employees anonymously listed reasons for their selections that included his approachability, compassion for patients, professionalism and an “unflappable demeanor.”

Schandorf attended the University of Ghana Medical School and completed his residency in 1993 in internal medicine at St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore. He is a Diplomat with the American Board of Internal Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
