District 67 candidates define platforms at debate

Candidates for the District 67 House of Representative seat shared their thoughts on the oil drill, the class size amendment and other issues during a debate Wednesday night at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall.

All four candidates — Republicans Jeremiah Guccione, Dr. Bob McCann and Greg Steube and Democrat Z.J. Hafeez — participated in the forum, hosted by the Lakewood Ranch Civic Action Forum.

“It’ helped me understand better what they stand for,” Lakewood Ranch resident Steve Vernon said after the debate.
