Whether the southwest corner of State Road 70 and Tara Boulevard can be developed remains uncertain, but developer Lake Lincoln is proposing a solution.

Manatee County commissioners on Thursday will consider a proposed settlement agreement from Lake Lincoln, developer of the Tara development. It proposes Manatee either re-hold adoption hearings to allow commercial uses at that corner or pay Lake Lincoln $2.4 million as compensation for restricting development there.

The Manatee County Attorney’s Office recommends rejecting the agreement.

Other items on the agenda include a helistop proposal at The Concession Golf Club, among others.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the county government building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.

A budget presentation is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
