Deputies make arrest in armed robbery case

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested Joshua Duncan, 22, for an armed robbery that occurred last week.

According to a press release, Duncan held a woman at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Dutch Heritage restaurant on Bahia Vista in Sarasota. He demanded "everything," and the victim gave her purse. Duncan then fled the scene.

Detectives determined Duncan gave the purse to a friend who pawned the bag. Duncan is charged with Robbery with a Firearm.
