Deputies arrest Texas woman for Costco fraud

Sarasota County deputies arrested a Texas women for attempting to buy electronics with fraudulent checks, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

Employees at Costco in Westfield Sarasota Square mall called deputies after 25-year-old Chandrika Berry tried to buy a $1,100 laptop computer and tablet with checks and an identification belonging to another person.

The Sheriff's Office charged Berry with attempted grand theft, among seven other charges carrying a bond totalling $11,000.
