Deputies arrest man for early-morning DUI

Sarasota County deputies arrested a man for driving under the influence after he struck a law enforcement vehicle at roughly 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

John Tauber, 26, crashed into a Sarasota County Sheriff's Office vehicle on Center Road, then tried to drive away from the scene. Tauber argued with deputies before his arrest, and the subsequent test that showed he was four times over the legal limit to drive.

Deputies charged Tauber with three misdemeanors.
