When 32-year-old convicted sex offender Brian Lacy learned he was wanted for additional crimes, he fled to Hillsborough County. Last night, Sarasota County deputies brought him back to face new charges.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has charged Lacy with lewd or lascivious battery on a 14-year-old victim and failure to register his address, according to a news release. Deputies working with theĀ U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Lacy in Brandon at roughly 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Lacy is being held in Sarasota County Jail without bond.
