Deadline to register to vote is 5 p.m. today

The deadline to register to vote in the town’s March 25 general municipal election is 5 p.m. today.

Voter registration forms are available at Longboat Key Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road.

Voters will decide on who will fill two commission seats in the March 25 election. At-large Commissioner Terry Gans and Bayou resident Ray Rajewski are running for the District 3 seat. Country Club Shores resident Armando Linde and L’Ambiance resident Irwin Pastor are seeking Gans’ at-large seat.

Early voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 10 through March 22, at Town Hall. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Precincts are located at Longboat Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive, for Manatee County residents and Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, for Sarasota County residents.
