Data shows police call volume

Longboat Key police responded to 5,734 calls in 2012, a slight drop compared to the 6,024 calls they handled in 2011.

Listed below are the top 20 types of calls handled by police in 2011 and 2012. One noticeable change is the increase in the number of burglaries in 2012, which resulted primarily from a string of incidents that occurred in June during Tropical Storm Debby.
