Former American Major League Baseball outfielder Darryl Strawberry made a stop at Braden River High School today to speak to Braden River's football team just hours before the youths headed to the field for their Homecoming game against Bayshore High School.

Strawberry and his wife, Tracy, are in town this weekend to speak at a free special events at The Source Church, 5412 State Road 64 East, Bradenton.

The Source Church will host "Youth Night with Darryl Strawberry" at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 for individuals ages 13 to 29. Darryl and Tracy Strawberry will share a message during the 10 a.m. service Oct. 16, and will speak again on "True Purpose" at 6 p.m. Oct. 16.
