Dan Rather will lead mental health panel

Dan Rather, former CBS News Anchor and 60 Minutes correspondent, will lead a discussion on mental health issues as he presents “America’s Mental Health Crisis,” according to a release from the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.

The panel of experts will comprise Sarasota Memorial and Salvation Army personnel.

The panel, moderated by local mental health counselor Miriam Lacher, will discuss how severe mental health problems can become for individuals, hospitals and law enforcement agencies nationally and locally.

The event is free and open to the public.
