Cross-dressing man charged with stabbing

Sarasota Police have arrested a cross-dressing man and his boyfriend following a stabbing on the North Trail at roughly 1 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

According to reports, Ricardo Toro, who was wearing a dress, stabbed Sarasota resident Scott Wilson in the chest after Wilson asked Toro to exit his vehicle. Wilson had believed Toro was a woman. Follwing the altercation, Toro's boyfriend Josh Guadette punched Wilson in the head.

The incident occured at the intersection of North Tamiami Trail and 16th Street.

Police have charged Toro with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and Guadette with battery. Both men were listed as homeless in reports.
