County hones in on budget discussions

Manatee County commissioners will refine the proposed Fiscal Year 2016 budget during workshops this week.

With two meetings already completed, the board will hold three more, as follows:

• 1:30 p.m. June 10 — A summary of the constitutional officers budget contained in the recommended budget;

• 9 a.m. June 11 — Presentation of the Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal years 2016 through 2020; and

• 6 p.m. June 11 — Public hearing to take public comments on the budget.

Meetings will be held at the county's administrative building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.

Commissioners will hold more workshops throughout the summer, with the final two public hearings, including the budget adoption hearing, occurring in August and September, respectively.
