The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking public input for the county’s budget for the next fiscal year.

A public workshop for the budget will be held at 6 p.m., June 15, in the first-floor chambers of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Through the discussion, commissioners hope to learn which tax-payer funded programs are most important to the community.

Two additional public hearings will be held in September before the final 2010-2011 budget is adopted.

County Administrator Ed Hunzeker on May 27 presented the board with a budget that has been reduced by $27.8 million compared to last year and with no increase in property taxes.
