Sarasota County crews have contained a sewage spill at a vacant golf course southwest of the intersection of Clark Road and Honore Avenue, east of Palmer Ranch/
The spill occurred in a ditch at the 6600 block of Draw Lane and the former site of Sunrise Golf Course. The county crews expect to clear the sewage, caused by an open valve, by this evening.
The site poses no danger to people or the environment, according to a county news release.
