County announces road closure

Manatee County has closed off a section of West Country Club Lane in the Palm Aire community as Westra construction upgrades a master lift station there.

The section of roadway being closed off now through March 2 is on West Country Club Lane between Whitfield Avenue and Country Lakes Circle.

“It’s basically an upgrade to the existing equipment,” said Carl Schnabl, project manager for Westra. “It’ll be a quieter running system.”

The contract for work is for just more than $1 million.
