Dec. 12
FORGIT ME NOT
9:30 a.m. — 2900 block of Church Avenue. Threats. A man said an unknown person left a note on his step that morning. The note read, “don’t forgit I hav not.” The man said he did not know who would have left the note, but he has received prior threats via phone.

Dec. 13
WHEN YOU GOTTA GO
6:12 p.m. — 1500 block of First Street. Disorderly Intoxication. A man was observed stumbling around and attempting to walk into the women’s restroom at the SCAT station. Security said the man was too intoxicated to get on a bus. The man was found attempting to get on a bus — he stated he just wanted to get home. Officers contacted the man’s father, who agreed to pick the man up.

Dec. 15
POINT OF NO RETURN
11:16 a.m. — 200 block of North Lime Avenue. Trespassing. An employee at a convenience store said two women were arguing about the price of an item. The employee said the women purchased some items, left the store and came back to complain about being overcharged. When they returned, they cut ahead of other customers in line. The employee told them to wait, which caused the women to start a commotion. The women told officers they didn’t cause a scene, but that they wanted the product or their money back. The women continued arguing with employees and officers. They were eventually trespassed
from the store.

Dec. 17
SLEEPLESS IN SARASOTA
5:09 a.m. — 1000 block of North Tamiami Trail. Suspicion Vehicle. The manager at a gas station observed a man sleeping in a construction work truck on the property. The woman wanted to make sure the man was OK, but she also wanted him to leave. The man said he had been at the gas station for an hour waiting for his construction crew to finish. He said he could not remember where his crew was working, because he was from out of town and unfamiliar with the area. When he was informed the gas station was closed and he was not allowed to sleep in his truck, he left the area.

CABLE GUY
1:50 p.m. — 500 block of North Beneva Road. Petit Theft — Shoplifting. An employee at a department store was watching the security cameras when he saw a man grab a TV cable from the shelves. The man then walked into the Christmas section and put the item in to his pants. The man walked outside, and the employee confronted him in front of the store. When speaking with officers, the man said he knew what he did was wrong and had no excuses.
