March 21
POWER STRUGGLE

12:37 a.m. — 1000 block of 41st Street

Dispute/Fight: A man reported he was having an argument with his roommate, who he believed turned off the electricity to the main house on the property. The roommate denied turning off the electricity, and said the man turned off the electricity to the rear apartment earlier. Both men were drinking alcohol, an officer observed. Both men agreed to get along and to not turn off each other’s electricity.

March 22
OPEN-AND-SHUT CASE

8 a.m. — 100 block of Golden Gate Point

Burglary — Structure: A man returned to his house after a four-day absence and was unable to open his garage door because it had been pushed off of its railings. When he went outside, the man noticed handprints all over the garage door, consistent with someone attempting to push the door upward to gain entry. The only item of value in the garage was his car, the man reported. The officer attempted to lift fingerprints from the garage door, but no fingerprints of value could be obtained because of the ridged surface of the garage door.

PEER PRESSURE
8:40 a.m. — 2000 block of Fourth Street

Suspicion Person: A man reported he saw another male with a green hat looking over his backyard fence. An officer made contact with the suspect, who advised he had been sitting down on a blanket in an empty lot and had not been looking over anyone’s fence. He said he had gotten into previous run-ins with the man, who does not like him. The male agreed to leave the area without further incident.

WINDOW SHOPPING
11 a.m. — 600 block of Central Avenue

Criminal Mischief: An officer noticed that a storefront window had been broken or possibly shot out with a BB gun. The officer contacted the owner of the business, who said the window must have been vandalized between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on that date. The owner did not have any suspects in relation to the incident. The cost for fixing the damaged window was estimated between $300 and $500.
