POWER STRUGGLE

6:50 p.m. — 300 block of East Cornelius Circle

Dispute: A man reported his landlord for turning off the power to his room and restricting him from using the dryer or stove in their shared home. The landlord told an officer that the home was having power issues that were not solely contained to the man’s room. He also said that the stove and dryer were his appliances and that he did not want the man to use them. The officer told the man that he could not make the landlord share his appliances.

UNWELCOME GUESTS

12:38 a.m. — 400 block of Saint Armands Circle
Dispute: An officer was dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a disturbance. The officer made contact with two women, both of whom were heavily intoxicated. Both women had been kicked out of multiple bars in the area and got into a dispute with a cab drive before the officer arrived. None of the parties involved in those altercations wished to press charges. Both women, who were visiting the area on vacation, were transported to their hotel without further incident.

3:11 p.m. — 1500 block of Main Street
Trespass: A server at a restaurant contacted police after a woman left without paying her bill. Another employee at the restaurant tracked the woman down and made her return to the restaurant. The woman said she was waiting for her boyfriend to come to the restaurant so she could pay her bill. When she left, she said, she was going to get the money from her boyfriend. The officer contacted the boyfriend and told him to come to the restaurant, and he arrived and paid the bill.

BAD NEWS

4:52 p.m. — 1400 block of Main Street
Suspicion: A man said he wanted to file a complete report because he was tired of bad things always happening to him. The man declined to provide specifics, but said this been going on since he was a child in school. An officer asked if the man needed any assistance, but he said he just wanted to file the report.
