Sept. 14
FREE RIDE
8:00 a.m. — 1800 block of Morrill Street.
Petit Theft. A resident called the police department to report that someone stole his bike from the rear of his assisted-living apartment complex. The bike was stolen from an open lanai behind the apartment building.

Sept. 22
MUST BE HEARING THINGS
12:30 a.m. — 2500 block of Arlington Street.
Noise Complaint. A resident called police about a noise disturbance. When police arrived at the address where the music was reported, the resident said they had not been playing music or making any noise. No further action was taken at the time.

Sept. 23
TURN IT DOWN!
2:53 a.m. — North Osprey Avenue.
Disturbance. A resident called police about loud party music.

MUDSLINGER
4:56 p.m. — Leon Avenue. Unclassified. Residents reported someone on a dirt bike was throwing mud at passing cars.

DOGGONE IT
6:50 p.m. — 400 block of Benjamin Franklin Drive. Unclassified. A resident called police about a dog swimming at the beach. While on the phone with police, the resident said she saw another small white dog on the end of the beach near the lifeguard stand.

PARTY MOBILE
7:04 p.m. — Goodrich Avenue. Unclassified. A resident called police about loud party music. She was not completely sure, but believed the music was coming from a car.

UP TO NO GOOD?
9:06 p.m. — North Orange Avenue. Unclassified. Approximately six unknown subjects were standing near a water reservoir at a school and throwing rocks. The subjects were near the football field.

Sept. 24
RETURN POLICY
6 p.m. — 2200 block of Hillview Street.
Suspicion General. A woman called police after her bike disappeared. The woman explained that a man she knew gave her the bike to use several months earlier. The man then texted her, saying he needed the bike back for his daughter to use. At some point, an unknown person took the bike from the woman’s home. A day later, the woman received a text message from the man’s daughter “thanking her” for giving the bike back.

FORGET SOMETHING?
2:17 p.m. — North Tamiami Trail.
Unclassified. A caller told police that a man was near a business wearing a red plaid flannel top and no shorts.

ANONYMOUS ASSAILANT
7:50 p.m. — 1400 block of Main Street. Assault. A man who said another man had assaulted him flagged down police officers on patrol. The man said the other man shoved his hand into his face. Police officers contacted the other man, but he refused to give them his name. The other man was arrested for resisting an officer without violence.

Sept. 26
SUCKER PUNCH
2:30 a.m. — 500 block of Golden Gate Point.
Dispute/Fight. A woman told a police officer that she was drinking with some friends in the back of her apartment when another woman walked over, called her by her name and unexpectedly punched her in the face. The officer did not observe any marks on the woman’s face, and she admitted she was hanging out with the other woman who had punched her. The officer suggested that she go inside and go to sleep, which she did.

NOT A HAPPY WALKER
11:38 p.m. — Waldemere Street. Unclassified. A male subject was walking down the street cursing at drivers.
