Nov. 15
DISTURBING PAST
10:30 a.m. — 4900 block of Commonwealth Drive.
Disturbance. A man asked deputies to remove from his property a woman with a history of disturbing him.

RETURN LOOKS HAZY
7:30 p.m. — 5100 block of Hidden Harbor Road. Residential Burglary. A woman returned to her home and noticed an open window in her garage and broken lock on the door to her house. She found that someone had dumped out her jewelry box and taken necklaces, bracelets, coins and a German passport with 200 euros tucked inside. The woman valued the jewelry taken at $5,300, and a crystal ball, that was also stolen, at $50.

Nov. 16
CUT IT OUT
7:44 a.m. — 900 block of Glebe Lane.
Criminal Mischief. A Sarasota County employee notified deputies that someone had sliced a blue playground cover three times. She speculated that neighborhood juveniles hanging out at the park at night caused the $500 damage.

Nov. 17
STOLEN AND FOUND
2:30 a.m. — 500 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Stolen Vehicle. A woman could not find her silver Jeep or car keys after leaving a nightclub. Deputies searched the area and located her vehicle behind another bar. Officers did not find anything missing from the Jeep, which was not damaged. The woman drove the car home after finding the key on the car roof.

THAT’S A-ROBBERY
1:04 a.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard. Battery. A man asked the owner of a pizzeria to make two pizzas, then pushed him, grabbed the pies and fled. The owner’s wife chased the man until he dropped the pizzas and ran out of her sight. Deputies interviewed another man spotted with the suspect, who sent the man an unreturned text message.

Nov. 18
SOUND SOLUTION
9:08 p.m. — 5300 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Disturbance. A woman reported loud music coming from a charity benefit at a restaurant. Deputies did not take a sound-meter reading, and the restaurant owner turned the music down.

A PAINTED PAST
11:38 a.m. —5800 block of Midnight Pass Road. Residential Burglary. A woman reported to deputies that a plumber’s employee stole a tile painting of Japanese figures from her condominium. The condo manager, neighbors and board members told officers the employee is completely trustworthy and that the woman has a history of false accusations. She had also accused the employee in the past of spray-painting her car, despite proof the paint was from a collision.
