June 9
4 a.m. — Siesta Key.
Aggravated Battery. A man attempted to intervene in a verbal altercation between several tenants of his property. One of the tenants swung a T-shirt filled with beer bottles at the property owner’s head. When police attempted to question residents at the property about the incident, they were too intoxicated or claimed to have not seen the assault.

June 10
2:25 a.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Disorderly Intoxication. A deputy responded to help another officer who was aiding an unconscious person when another man began pushing through a crowd of onlookers. The man began stepping on the legs of the man police were trying to wake up. The disruptive man was arrested after refusing to stop. He was repeatedly screaming, “That’s my friend!” When questioned by police, the man said he was trying to help his friend but admitted he was too drunk.

2:40 a.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard. Battery. Witnesses to a fight flagged a police officer down to intervene. When he questioned the witnesses, he saw the suspect push a woman after yelling at her. He was arrested for simple battery.

10:30 p.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard. Theft. A 150-pound cooler was taken from behind an Italian restaurant. There are currently no suspects, and there was no video surveillance in the area.

June 11
3:26 a.m. — 6200 block of Midnight Pass Drive.
Illegal Parking. Police called a man who repeatedly has parked his vehicle on private property to inform him that he was trespassing. Security officers at the location said he was rude to them, but officers did not find the suspect at the scene.

7 a.m. — 900 block of Beach Road. Stolen Vehicle. A woman went swimming at Siesta Key Beach and returned to find her belongings missing from the lifeguard stand where she left them unattended. When she went to her vehicle, she noticed her orange Honda was missing, as well. A computer valued at $1,000 and $300 in cash were in the car. Deputies did not immediately locate the vehicle.

1:57 p.m. — 4100 block of Roberts Point Circle. Suspicious Incident. A man called police after the man to whom he lent his truck had not returned with the vehicle a week later. The man who borrowed the truck told the owner several times over the phone he would return the vehicle. The owner told police he did not want to report the vehicle as stolen; he just wanted his truck back.

2:07 p.m. — 5600 block of Midnight Pass Road. Residential Burglary. When a man went to check on his boat, he noticed a clear plastic container, containing two fishing knives and miscellaneous tools, was missing. When he left his residence to go to the gym, the man found the container in the hedges without its contents. The stolen items are valued at $100, and police were unable to dust for fingerprints because the man was handling the container when they arrived.
