Dec. 26
SUSPICIOUS CALLER
10 p.m. — 5300 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Grand Theft. A woman left her iPhone in a taxi and suspected someone who recovered it intended to keep the phone. Deputies responded to the residence a GPS tracker placed the phone, but nobody was home. An anonymous caller phoned the Sheriff’s Office 30 minutes later to inquire about a missing iPhone.

Dec. 28
PARTIED OUT
10:45 p.m. — 6300 block of Midnight Pass Road.
Open House Party. Deputies arrested a man for throwing a party that included underage drinking. Emergency rescue transported a 19-year-old man with alcohol poisoning to the hospital.

EXPLOSIVE DELIVERY
11:30 p.m. — 5100 block of Oxford Drive. Criminal Mischief. A man heard an explosion and discovered his mailbox was damaged. Deputies determined a firework exploded inside the mailbox and blew the door off, causing about $100 of damage.

Dec. 29
HOT MAIL
12:38 a.m. — 300 block of Givens Street.
Criminal Mischief. Officers responded to the report of a burning mailbox and found a suspicious bottle and remains of a firework nearby. Deputies believe someone poured rubbing alcohol on the mailbox and ignited the firework to start the fire.

FOOD FIGHT
1:40 a.m. — 5100 block of Ocean Boulevard. Battery. A group of five men jumped another man as he and his fiancée were buying a slice of pizza. The man contemplated pressing charges after hospital treatment.

CANADIAN BANKIN’
12:30 p.m. — 1200 block of Stickney Point Road. Suspicious Incident. A man called deputies to report seeing a couple that was suspiciously glancing in several directions while using an ATM. He identified them as white senior citizens driving a van with Ontario license plates.

Dec. 31
SORE THROAT
2:03 a.m. — 5100 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Battery. A man told deputies a group of men followed him out of a club and one of the men punched him in the face. He said a member of the group made a “throat-cutting” gesture before the altercation.

Jan. 1
SHE’S WITH ME
3:30 a.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Battery. A woman began arguing with a bar manager and slapped him five times when he tried to escort her from the area. Deputies arrested the woman and her boyfriend, after he began causing a disturbance.

TRADING WHEELS
10 p.m. — 6200 block of Midnight Pass Road. Petit Theft. A man reported that his bicycle was missing and two older bicycles were left in its place. Deputies recovered the missing bicycle lying in the grass nearby.
